Indonesia opened its second national gastronomy festival with a royal palace dinner in Solo on September 26, and travelers already in Java or Bali can still catch nine days of tastings, markets and chef events. Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana launched Wonderful Indonesia Gastronomy 2026 at Pura Mangkunegaran, one of Java’s most significant royal palaces, where guest chefs reinterpreted heritage recipes through contemporary palace inspired cooking. The main program runs September 26 to October 4.
