PETALING JAYA: PKR Youth chief Kamil Munim has claimed that the Barisan Nasional (BN)-Perikatan Nasional (PN) alliance for the state election in Negeri Sembilan is driven more by political interests than by efforts to serve the people.
Kamil, the political secretary to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in his capacity as finance minister, alleged that the alliance was aimed at building political momentum to challenge Anwar’s leadership.
"BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi wants to become prime minister and is working with the opposition to build momentum to bring down Anwar.
"They are exploiting racial and religious issues to win Malay support... After that, they will end up fighting among themselves for power," he told FMT.
