Piped water supply to be suspended in parts of zones 13 and 14 from September 20 to September 29

Piped water supply will be suspended to parts of zones 13 and 14 from September 20 to September 29 to enable shifting of a major pipeline for the construction of a stormwater drain (SWD) at Sholinganallur.

A press release from the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) said the major pipeline, which conveys water from 150 mld desalination plant at Nemmeli, would be shifted to facilitate construction of the SWD on TNHB–A Main Road. Piped water supply to areas, including parts of Velachery, Ullagaram Puzhuthivakkam, Madipakkam, Pallikaranai, and Jalladianpet, would be suspended during the period.
