A 22-year-old man allegedly shot dead his stepmother and her two children over a family dispute in Sukhekhi Mandi on Monday.

According to police, the incident took place in Farooq-e-Azam Mohallah, where the suspect, identified as Abu Tajana, allegedly opened fire on his stepmother and her two children.

Police identified the victims as 40-year-old Nazeran Bibi, nine-year-old Chand Hassan and eight-year-old Harsam Fatima.

The suspect fled the scene after the shooting, police said, adding that an initial investigation suggested an ongoing family dispute was behind the killings.
