Photojournalists play key role in documenting history, says NTR District Collector
NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha celebrated World Photography Day by highlighting the essential role of photojournalists in documenting history and society. The district administration hosted photography competitions and an exhibition to recognize local talent across various categories.

Speaking at the World Photography Day celebrations held at the Collectorate on Wednesday, Mr. Lakshmisha said photographs serve as living records of important events and reflect the emotions, culture, development and aspirations of society.
The Collector extended his greetings to photographers on World Photography Day and highlighted the crucial role played by photojournalists in documenting important events and bringing them to the public. He said the district administration was organising photography competitions every year to identify, encourage and recognise the talent of photographers.
Video journalists and amateur photographers would also be included in the competitions, he added.
