PhilSA urges businesses to turn satellite data into solutions

Rather than limiting space technology to government and highly specialized applications, PhilSA is helping startups and companies learn how satellite-derived information can be combined with data they already use to address business and industry needs.

One of the agency's main efforts is the Space Business Innovation Camp (SBIC), a seven-week online mentoring program that guides participants in developing business ideas into satellite-enabled solutions.

Those who come up with viable business ideas will have the opportunity to present them at a pitching event in November before a panel of representatives from funding and financing institutions, technical experts, and industry practitioners.
