Philippines recognizes One China Policy, but it won't stop economic ties with Taiwan

The DFA reaffirmed the Philippines' adherence to the One China Policy.

But it stressed that the policy will not prevent the Philippines from pursuing economic, cultural, and other functional ties with Taiwan.

The Philippines will continue to rely on effective diplomacy, open communication, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
