Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has established a high-level committee to review the concerns of the Oil Tanker Contractors Association (OTCA) following discussions with the association's leadership.
The committee, headed by the Special Secretary Petroleum, has been directed to submit its recommendations within one week. It comprises representatives from the Directorate General of Oil (DG Oil), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the Oil Tanker Contractors Association and the Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC).

The decision was taken after a meeting between the petroleum minister and an OTCA delegation led by its president, Abidullah Afridi. During the talks, the association highlighted issues relating to the reduced White Oil Pipeline quota, the freight pricing mechanism and commercial loading procedures.
