Petrol and diesel prices fall in July, EV tariffs updated
AA Ireland reports a decrease in petrol and diesel prices for July, though global market volatility remains a concern. Additionally, EV charging tariffs have been restructured, with some fast-charging users facing increased costs.

AA Ireland's fuel price analysis shows that both petrol and diesel prices decreased in July compared to June.
Diesel prices fell to an average of €1.73 a litre in July, down 15 cents from June's average of €1.88 a litre.
Petrol prices also decreased, falling to an average of €1.75 a litre, down nine cents from June's average of €1.84 a litre.
AA Ireland noted that EV charging tariffs also saw changes in July.
Electric Ireland introduced new residential electricity prices, including changes to its Night Boost tariff, while ESB ecars restructured its public charging network pricing into two speed tiers: up to 50kW (AC) and above 50kW (DC fast/high-power).
