The billionaire said he's more interested in what Democrats do ahead of the 2028 election. The PayPal cofounder said there's a roughly 50% chance Democrats nominate a democratic socialist. PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel is worried about whoever Republicans put forth in 2028, even if it's his ally Vice President JD Vance. "I am still a Vance partisan ," Thiel told Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner during an interview on an episode of Döpfner's "MD Meets" podcast posted on Thursday. "I worry that it will be very hard for either candidate to win. And so, I don't know, my pessimistic thought is that that's the wrong question."
