The Pet-Basheerabad police arrested three members of an inter-State motorcycle theft gang and recovered 21 stolen motorcycles allegedly lifted from different parts of Telangana and neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
The arrested men were identified as Bouri Ashok Singh, 19, of Yellammabanda in Kukatpally, Ayalpuram Raghupathi alias Raghu, 22, of Siddipet district, and Bandi Praneeth alias Sonu, 23, also of Siddipet district. Police said all three have previous criminal cases registered against them.
They were apprehended near Maisammaguda following an investigation into a series of vehicle thefts.
Two other accused, identified as Chaitanya alias Sunny and Suresh, along with two juveniles, are absconding.
