The Reading Scholar Programme is part of NPS Super 4’s Guided Learning philosophy of personalized instruction. Designed for students in Grades 1–5 across the NPS Super 4 schools (NPS Whitefield, NPS East, NPS Marathahalli, and NPS Silk Board), it begins by assessing students using Lexile® measures before matching them with reading material aligned to their demonstrated reading ability rather than grade level.
Programme assessment data showed that students who began in the lowest Lexile bands recorded the greatest average gains in reading during the 2025–26 academic year, reflecting the school’s broader Guided Learning philosophy of meeting every learner where they are and helping them move forward.
