Peringamala grama panchayat is getting ready to host the district panchayat’s farm festival ‘Niravu’ from September 10.

One of the highlights of the farm festival, being held in association with the Agriculture department, is a two-acre sunflower farm against the backdrop of the beautiful Western Ghats. Over 10,000 sunflower plants at the farm have painted the landscape yellow, providing the perfect setting for multiple selfie corners where visitors will be able to take photographs.

Atop a 30-foot-tall rock next to the sunflower farm, a wooden bridge has been readied. A hut too has been set up for the visitors to relax and take in the view, especially of the sunflower farm.
