The Dockers confirmed on Monday that McManus would present coach Justin Longmuir and skipper Alex Pearce the cup if they win Saturday’s grand final against Brisbane.

An inaugural Docker and ex-captain, McManus played 228 games for the club across 14 seasons and emotionally accepted the honour live on radio on Nova 93.7 Perth’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun.

“I’m absolutely honoured and blown away…it’d be amazing for my family, obviously, but I love (Dockers coach) Justin (Longmuir),” McManus said.
