Perez Hilton was taken to a Miami hospital after authorities responded to an apparent act of self-harm during a TikTok livestream.
Deputies from the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 48-year-old celebrity blogger’s home in Florida on Wednesday after they received “multiple” calls from concerned fans about his behaviour during the livestream, now removed from the platform.
At the scene, deputies spoke with family members and confirmed the influencer was the only person inside the property at the time of the livestream.
In a statement, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said: “In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritise de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication.
