Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Minister Rajmohan on Monday said people were closely watching the political developments surrounding speculation of an AIADMK-DMK alliance and would make their own decision, as he defended the party’s campaign in the bypoll.
Responding to AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami’s criticism of the TVK’s repeated claims about a possible alliance between the two parties, Mr. Rajmohan said the TVK had been clear about its position.
He cited the recent joining of AIADMK functionary Maragatham Kumaravel with the TVK, saying she had chosen the party because she was looking for a leadership that could effectively oppose the DMK. He said Ms. Kumaravel, who had been associated with the AIADMK, had explained her reasons for joining the TVK.
