People tired of BRS, Congress, turning to BJP, says Ramchander Rao to US supporters
Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao claims that voters in Telangana are increasingly turning to the BJP as a credible alternative to the BRS and Congress. Speaking in the US, he highlighted the party's recent electoral successes and the central government's focus on infrastructure and startup growth.
Why it matters
This reflects the shifting political landscape in Telangana and the BJP's efforts to expand its influence in southern Indian states.
Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao said on Sunday that people in the State are increasingly viewing the BJP as the only ‘credible alternative’, as they have become ‘disillusioned’ with both the BRS and Congress parties.
Addressing party supporters in Baltimore (US), Mr. Rao said the BJP is steadily emerging as a strong political force in Telangana. He pointed to the party’s success in winning eight Lok Sabha seats from the State and securing significant victories in recent MLC elections. Several surveys too indicated growing public support for the BJP.
