“We are running a people-centric administration upholding the Telangana spirit and prioritising self respect of the people. Telangana is competing not just with neighbouring States but with the entire world,” he said. The Chief Minister was speaking after unfurling the Tricolour at the Public Gardens here to celebrate “Praja Palana Dinotsavam” on Thursday marking the anniversary of integration of Hyderabad State with the Indian Union. The day, he said, was significant as it marked not only the end of Nizam’s rule, but also paved the way for transition from monarchy to democratic governance.
