Pedestrian in his 30s dies following Cork city collision involving bus

A man in his 30s has died following a collision with a bus in Cork city, Ireland. Gardaí have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses or dash-cam footage from the area.

Fri, 02 Oct, 2026 - 13:30 Rachel Lysaght A man in his 30s has died following a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus on the Lower Glanmire Road in Cork city .
The incident happened at approximately 6.30am on Friday between the Bellevue Villas overpass and the skew bridge.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, where the man was found to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to hospital and was later pronounced dead. The coroner has been notified.
A technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators has been completed.
