Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna has urged Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers Jagat Prakash Nadda to order an independent technical review of the repeated shutdowns at Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) and shift its corporate office from Noida to Peddapalli.
In a memorandum addressed to the Union Minister on Tuesday (September 29, 2026), Mr. Vamsi Krishna said RFCL was revived to produce urea closer to farmers, but repeated production disruptions, including another reported shutdown this week, had raised concerns over the plant’s reliability to ensure a steady supply of urea.
He recalled the efforts of his grandfather, the late Gaddam Venkataswamy, and father, Dr. G. Vivek Venkataswamy, towards the revival of the Ramagundam plant.
