Patimban Global Gateway Terminal receives Liebherr LHM 550
The Patimban Global Gateway Terminal in Indonesia has received a Liebherr LHM 550 mobile harbour crane as part of a $73.6 million investment. This equipment is intended to boost container handling capacity and support regional logistics as the port nears full completion in 2027.

The Liebherr LHM 550 mobile harbour crane has been supplied to Patimban Global Gateway Terminal (PGT) as part of the terminal’s US$73.6m investment in cargo handling equipment.
Patimban is an Indonesian port project east of Jakarta, intended to complement Tanjung Priok by easing congestion and strengthening regional logistics capacity. The LHM 550 will allow the terminal to begin container services before the full complement of STS cranes is installed. It is also expected to support demand in the domestic container and general cargo markets.
As development progresses, the terminal’s phased plan targets container-handling capacity of 7.5m TEU by 2037. Equipment deliveries will be phased through 2026 and beyond. The overall project is scheduled for completion in 2027. Liebherr said that “the LHM 550’s container configuration supports efficient cycles and stable handling across a range of vessel sizes.”
