Participants at the just concluded July 30–31 conference of Catholic Sisters serving in the legal profession across Africa have described the two-day event that was held in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, as “a big transformation” for the African continent.
In interviews with ACI Africa on the last day of the conference that was organized by the Catholic Sisters in the Legal Profession (CASILEP), the participants described the event as an eye-opener, saying it had helped many people recognize that Catholic sisters are also legal practitioners.
“For me, this is a big transformation… One could never have thought of such a thing some years ago, where sisters could sit down and discuss matters of law, especially Canon Law,” Fr. Thomas Mushi said.
