It carried no school insignia. Only a government number plate. Conversations stopped. Heads turned. Four people stepped out.
Three were dressed in plain clothes. The fourth carried a leather briefcase. They did not speak to anyone. They walked directly towards the administration block.
The security guard hurried to open the door. This time… He stood to attention. Inside the building, curtains shifted.
Teachers peeped through half-open windows. The receptionist who had barked orders only yesterday quietly disappeared from her desk.
Something was wrong. Very wrong. Outside… Rumours multiplied. “They’ve come to arrest someone.”
