Parly's impeachment committee votes to oppose EFF legal challenge

CAPE TOWN - Parliament’s Impeachment Committee has voted to oppose two legal challenges relating to its decision to rescind the nomination of Advocate Griffiths Madonsela as evidence leader.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has approached the courts, seeking to have the committee’s decision overturned.
The African Legal Professionals Association has also launched a legal challenge, questioning decisions and actions taken in the handling of the Madonsela matter.
The committee voted against both applications.
