Parliamentary Committee begins a review of infrastructure projects, delivery of public services
A Tanzanian parliamentary committee has begun reviewing government infrastructure projects and public service delivery ahead of the upcoming Fourth Parliamentary Meeting. The sessions focus on road rehabilitation, bus rapid transit progress, and improvements to education and health services.

DODOMA: THE Parliamentary Standing Committee on Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI) has officially commenced its sessions in Dodoma to review the implementation of government activities, including infrastructure projects and the delivery of public services.
The sessions are part of preparations for the Fourth Parliamentary Meeting, which is scheduled to begin on August 25, 2026.
During its meeting with officials from the Prime Minister’s Office–Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI), the Committee received and discussed a report on the rehabilitation of roads damaged by seasonal rains in various parts of the country.
The Committee also reviewed progress in the construction of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) infrastructure, as well as plans to improve public transport services provided by the Dar es Salaam Rapid Transit (UDART).
