Favouring live relay of proceedings in the Assembly, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Tuesday (September 1, 2026), however, criticised State ministers for not providing adequate replies to questions.
Barring a few, the ministers are found wanting, the former Chief Minister told mediapersons at the Coimbatore Airport.
While the debt burden of the State keeps mounting, the government continues to announce power projects entailing investment of several thousands of crores of rupees, he said.
Mr. Palaniswami apprehended that the transport sector will continue to operate old buses, calling for steps for replacement.
On corruption, Mr. Palaniswami said the raids by DVAC resulting in confiscation of money were only indicative of corruption persisting across the State.
Price rise, law and order problems, increasing debt, and absence of measures to mop up revenue would cause the collapse of the TVK government well before its term ends, he said.
