Palani Math land case: CB-CID continues to question suspended Sub-Registrar
The CB-CID police are continuing their investigation into a suspended Sub-Registrar regarding the fraudulent registration of land belonging to the Palani Math. Several other individuals have been arrested in connection with the case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The CB-CID police on Monday continued questioning suspended Sub-Registrar Justin Manikandan Subramanian, an accused in the case pertaining to fraudulent registration of Palani Math land.
The CB-CID also examined various documents in the case and another case registered in Periyakukam in Theni district against the suspended Sub-Registrar.
The CB-CID police on July 29 arrested four accused in the case. The accused were identified as D. Murugadass (56) of Villupuram, who had sold the land; K. Vellaidurai (60) of Tiruppur, and D. Sethupathi, both buyers of the land; and S. Anwardeen (65) of Palani, who had reportedly facilitated the deal. They were apprehended under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for cheating, forgery, abetment, and criminal conspiracy.
