Palani land case: Suspended Sub-Registrar remanded in judicial custody

Suspended Sub-Registrar Justin Manikandan Subramanian, one of the accused in the case pertaining to the fraudulent registration of Palani math land, was on Friday remanded in judicial custody till August 21.
The CB-CID police on Thursday arrested Justin Manikandan Subramanian in Kodaikanal after the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court dismissed his anticipatory bail petition on Wednesday. He was found hiding in a house in the hill station.
Soon after his detention, he complained of chest pain and uneasiness, and was taken to Government Dindigul Medical College Hospital. Subsequently, he was admitted to the hospital, where Judicial Magistrate I, Dindigul, S. Packiaraj, visited him and remanded him in judicial custody.
