MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Sara Duterte is out of the country until the end of the month while her impeachment trial is ongoing, Malacanang confirmed Tuesday.
At a press briefing, Palace press officer Claire Castro said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., through the Office of the Executive Secretary, approved Duterte's foreign trip in several countries from July 16 to 31.

Castro said Duterte's "personal trip" itinerary includes Qatar, Germany, the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, and the Netherlands.
Duterte is currently in The Hague, where his father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, has been detained since March last year while awaiting his trial by the International Criminal Court on Nov. 30.
