Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye have agreed to immediately implement their collective defence commitments and ensure the “rapid deployment” of agreed military forces and capabilities in Saudi Arabia, following an emergency meeting of the three countries’ Mecca Defence Alliance in Riyadh.The decision was announced in a joint statement shared by Pakistan’s foreign ministry on Monday. The move will be carried out under “approved arrangements” and in accordance with the national laws of the three countries.The three countries had signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement in August, under which an armed attack on one member is considered an attack on all.
