In a fact-check released on Friday, the ministry said the claim did not reflect what happened during the recent border confrontation and accused Afghan authorities of presenting a misleading account of the incident.
The ministry said Afghan forces attempted an attack in the Gulistan sector on the night of September 24-25, but the move was thwarted. It added that Pakistan's response caused heavy losses to positions of the Afghan Taliban.
