Pahīatua homicide: Body believed to be person of interest recovered from Rotorua lake
Police have recovered a body from Lake Rotokākahi in New Zealand, believed to be a person of interest in a homicide investigation. The search was linked to the death of Karen Gilbert-Palmer, whose son, Jeremy Robertson, had been missing since the incident last October.

Police located the body at Lake Rotokākahi this morning while carrying out inquiries into a homicide in Pahīatua in October 2025.
Detective Senior Sergeant David Thompson said officers made the discovery about 8am.
