Pagasa: Fair weather, isolated rain showers until weekend

MANILA, Philippines - Generally fair weather with localized rain showers are expected to prevail over major parts of the country from Friday until this weekend, the state weather bureau said.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Obet Badrina said during the 5 a.m. weather advisory on Friday, July 17, that fair weather conditions may persist until Sunday, although parts of Luzon are likely to experience localized thunderstorms on Friday afternoon.

"We expect generally fair weather to prevail over a large part of the country through the weekend. Much of Luzon will experience localized rain showers and thunderstorms, while the weather will be hot and humid around midday," Badrina reported.
He added that the southwest monsoon, or habagat, is only affecting Extreme Northern Luzon.
