Over 250 Vinayaka idols taken out on procession in Madurai

Over 250 idols of Lord Vinayaka were taken out on a procession along the four Masi streets and immersed in the Vaigai river on Tuesday.

The idols of Lord Vinayaka were taken out on a procession by the workers of Hindu Munnani, Hindu Mahasabha and the members of the public.

The procession was taken out along East Masi Street, Vilakkuthoon, South Masi Street, West Masi Street, North Masi Street, Simmakkal and then taken to the Vaigai river for immersion.

An adequate number of police personnel was deployed along with the idols and along the procession route on the four Masi streets.
