More than 20 cars, including several luxury vehicles, and eight autorickshaws were destroyed after a massive fire broke out at a car garage near Bharathiya City on Thanisandra Main Road in north Bengaluru on Monday.
According to officials, the fire broke out around 4 a.m. and spread rapidly, engulfing vehicles that had been brought in for minor repairs. Several luxury cars were among those damaged in the blaze.
The fire also spread to a neighbouring shed where around eight autorickshaws were parked, reducing them to charred shells. Flames reached a nearby UPVC window manufacturing unit, damaging customer window materials.
