The Housing and Local Government Minister said the resolution of the long-standing squatter settlement issue reflected the government's commitment to ensuring that no one was left behind in the country's development.
"The squatter settlement problem, which had persisted for more than 40 years, has finally been resolved.
"Tonight, 120 families received land titles, which symbolise a more secure future for them and generations to come," he said when presenting the titles at a dinner organised by DAP Sungkai on Saturday (Aug 8).
The dinner, attended by more than 1,200 people from various communities, was held in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of DAP Sungkai.
