Over 1 lakh students participate in Bhashyam Scrabble League

Over 100,000 students participated in the Bhashyam Scrabble League, an initiative aimed at improving language and analytical skills. The tournament concluded with a central-level competition in Guntur involving 128 finalists.

Rajya Sabha member and Bhashyam Educational Institutions chairman Bhashyam Rama Krishna stressed the importance of intellectual games in developing students’ language proficiency, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Addressing the Bhashyam Central-Level Scrabble Tournament in Guntur, on Saturday, he said the objective of the event was to encourage students to participate in national and international competitions and excel. He said the tournament was organised under the Bhashyam Scrabble League 2026-27 in collaboration with Word Wizards and Mellow Learning.
More than 1 lakh students from Bhashyam institutions across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana participated in the league, making it one of the largest online Scrabble competitions. The competition was conducted in three stages for students of Classes V to X. Of the participants, 1,730 qualified for zonal rounds, followed by 256 students from 23 zones. A total of 128 finalists competed in the central-level tournament, where 18 emerged winners.
