Organised by the Erode District Legal Services Authority, as many as 1,943 cases were taken up for hearing in 18 sittings conducted across seven taluks. The Lok Adalat was held under the chairmanship of S. Sameena, Chairperson of the Erode District Legal Services Authority and Principal District Judge.

In motor accident compensation cases, three cheques totalling ₹1.04 crore were handed over to affected families by Ms. Sameena. In one case relating to a person who died in an accident, a cheque for ₹40 lakh was handed over to the affected family. In another case, a cheque for ₹40.50 lakh was given to the affected family, while a cheque for ₹24 lakh was handed over in another accident death case.
