Over 1,000 motorists caught for drunk driving across Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri commissionerates

Traffic police in Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri apprehended over 1,000 motorists for drunk driving during recent enforcement drives. The majority of the offenders were two-wheeler riders, and several cases have already been processed by local courts.

As many as 1,029 motorists were caught for driving under the influence of alcohol during special enforcement drives conducted by the traffic police across Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri commissionerates, with two-wheeler riders accounting for the majority of violations.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police booked the highest number of offenders at 480 during a two-day drive on October 9 and 10, followed by 284 in Malkajgiri during the week ending October 10 and 265 in Cyberabad during its weekend enforcement drive. In Malkajgiri, the traffic police apprehended 284 motorists between October 4 and 10.
