They also saw family in Malaga, Spain. Courtesy of Riana Ang-Canning We went on a multigenerational trip to Spain to celebrate my daughter's first birthday. We had already been traveling with her for four months and had learned to adjust our expectations. While some things didn't go as planned, it was still a fantastic family trip. For our daughter's first birthday, my husband and I flew to Malaga, Spain, with our almost-1-year-old, my mom, my dad, my mother-in-law, and two family friends. We were a group of eight, all traveling together and sharing a four-bedroom, three-bathroom Airbnb for a week of sightseeing and celebrating. As a travel blogger, I had a whole itinerary mapped out for us with day trips planned and restaurants saved on Google Maps. In between sightseeing, we'd spend lots of time catching up with our family members and celebrating our daughter's first birthday.
