OSHA orders valuers of assets belonging to TSF victims in Mara to adhere to safety protocols

TARIME: EXPERTS conducting the valuation of assets belonging to residents slated for relocation to make way for the construction of a new Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) at the North Mara Gold Mine have been instructed to adhere to safety protocols at all times while carrying out their duties.

This directive was issued today by Senior Occupational Health and Safety Officer Mr Francisco Ntemi while addressing the valuers and other professionals participating in the exercise in Matongo Village, Tarime District.

Mr Ntemi stated that the experts must identify hazards present in their work areas, assess potential risks, and take appropriate measures to control them before commencing or continuing work.

He emphasized that safety compliance should be integral to every stage of their operations, urging the experts to avoid complacency and instead remain vigilant regarding their surroundings.
