Families of two brain dead persons have donated their kidneys, lungs, liver, and retinas to the needy.
The kidneys of 50-year-old Prakash Acharya, a resident of Kotekar, were retrieved at the Government Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru on Saturday and soon after transplanted to patients at KMC Hospital in Manipal. The KMC Hospital, Attavar, Mangaluru, has stored his retinas in its eye bank.
