The organs of a 41-year-old man, Pranav Hegde, from Manipal in Udupi district, were donated after he was declared brain-dead at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, on Thursday.
According to a release, one kidney was retained at the facility for a patient on the waiting list. The second kidney and liver were transferred to A.J. Hospital, Mangaluru, while the corneas were sent to KMC Hospital, Attavar, Mangaluru.
