Oregon teacher fought school attacker before armed dad shot suspect 'multiple times'
A 16-year-old former student opened fire at an Oregon elementary school, killing four people including a teacher and three children. The suspect was killed by an armed bystander who intervened during the attack.

An Oregon teacher threw her mobile phone before she tackled and tried to wrestle away a shotgun from the arms of a teen suspect who opened fire on a special educational needs class.
As she tussled with him on the floor of the class - where three children and a teacher were killed - a bystander ran inside. Armed with a .40-caliber pistol, he opened fire and killed the teen.
The bystander, a dad of two girls at the school, had been driving past Silver Rail Elementary in Bend when he saw the suspect firing in the car park then shooting through a window to enter.
The details of the Thursday attack were confirmed by police, who said the 16-year-old suspect was a prior student at the school.
