NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) legal team head Ratna Singh claimed she was being detained by police along with three other lawyers ahead of the party’s proposed October 10 protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.Singh alleged that more than 25 police personnel had surrounded the car she was sitting in without disclosing the grounds for her detention.In a statement, Singh said police personnel had arrived at her residence in the morning and failed to produce an official notification when asked.She alleged that officers were insisting she remain at home with them, while she refused to get out of the car."They came to my house in the morning. We asked for official notification. They have nothing. They are saying that they want to detain me. We have received orders from above.
