ORC seeks Vice President’s support to deepen business formalisation

The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding business formalisation across the country following a courtesy call on Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on Thursday in Accra.

The delegation, led by the Registrar of Companies, Mrs Maame Samma Peprah, briefed the Vice President on the Office's mandate, ongoing reforms and strategic initiatives aimed at bringing business registration services closer to citizens and investors.

Mrs Peprah highlighted the ORC's nationwide business registration and sensitisation clinics, which seek to encourage businesses, particularly those in the informal sector, to formalise their operations.

She said the initiative was intended to improve access to registration services, educate entrepreneurs on the benefits of formalising their businesses and enhance compliance with Ghana's business registration laws.
