Oracle has started a new round of layoffs, according to three people impacted and an email shared with Business Insider. The layoffs had been expected to begin on Monday, according to a source with knowledge of the matter. An Oracle spokesperson did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Business Insider. Business Insider last month reported that the company had drawn up plans for a new round of job cuts to reduce payroll as it racks up billions in debt to fund AI infrastructure. The planned cuts reached double-digit percentages on some teams, according to an internal document.
