An emerging consensus is taking shape within the INDIA bloc that the Opposition should continue pursuing the Ram Temple embezzlement case in Parliament . The Samajwadi Party (SP) , which has been raising the matter during meetings of Opposition parties, on Wednesday (July 29, 2026) staged a protest in the Parliament House complex.
According to senior Opposition leaders, it was decided that the issue will be taken up in the Lok Sabha on Thursday (July 30 , 2026) and in the Rajya Sabha after the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 , is cleared. The Opposition wants to seek a discussion on the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ayodhya Ram temple.
Speaking to reporters, SP president Akhilesh Yadav said the alleged diversion of donations reflected the BJP government’s failure to safeguard public faith.
