Onoh urges Wike to clarify political alignment, backs APC ahead of 2027

Former southeast spokesman to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and chairman of the Forum of Former Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Denge Josef Onoh, has called on Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to clarify his political alignment ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, Onoh expressed concern about the emerging “Rainbow Coalition,” arguing that its structure and political direction could challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC) if it is not clearly aligned with the party’s interests. He urged the APC national leadership and other stakeholders to carefully assess the coalition’s implications and its potential impact on the party’s electoral and legislative strength. Onoh said the current political alignment should not be equated with the G5/Integrity Group that featured prominently ahead of the 2023 elections.
