Samsung is trying to turn One UI 9 into an operating system where AI agents can act across apps and then report what they did. Xiaomi is using HyperOS 4 to attack a much older complaint about its phones by promising lower memory overhead, faster app launches and a cleaner visual identity. OPPO is taking a quieter route with ColorOS 17, although the software may end up affecting more users than either rival now that OnePlus is moving closer to the same platform and Realme is heading in the same direction.
